UTMB’s AMWA invites all incoming students to join us in
Welcome Weekend 2009

This informative and fun-filled weekend is designed for new medical students to spend time getting to know their classmates and upperclassmen, learn about what to expect in medical school, and learn more about Galveston nightlife. Both men and women are encouraged to participate in this highly enjoyable weekend!
- How much does it cost?
- AMWA Welcome Weekend Is FREE!
- Where?
- The Palisade Palms Resort: 801 East Beach St (2 towers located on East Beach)
- Parking is available in the following areas:
- Lobby level parking lot
- Street level and second level garages. GUESTS MAY NOT PARK IN RESERVED SPOTS!--these are denoted by the word "reserved" painted in front of the spot. The garages are usually gated, but the gates will be lifted in order to facilitate parking of guests.
- Street level parking lot--accessible through the second smaller entrance to the Palisade (not the main entrance)
- If all other parking is full, guests may park along the street.
- Where can I stay?
- If you are not living on the island yet, we will set you up to stay with an upperclassman.
- Can my spouse or significant other come?
