The Big Sib/Little Sib ProgramWelcome to UTMB! The Big Sib/Little Sib Program is set up to help incoming students make the transition into medical school a little easier. The program matches each interested first year medical student with an upperclassman based on similar interests and background. Although this is sponsored by AMWA, the program is open to both men and women, and you don’t have to be a member of AMWA in order to participate! Big Sibs try to answer questions about everything you ever wanted to know concerning medical school at UTMB and more! AMWA Welcome Weekend (August 21) provides the first opportunity to meet your Big Sib, along with other upperclassmen and incoming students. The weekend is a lot of fun and totally free to you! Even if you can’t make it to AMWA Welcome Weekend, we would still like to match you up with a Big Sib. If you are interested in being matched with a Big Sib, please fill out the online form on or before Friday, August 21, 2009.
